Di Gilpin are dedicated to making with only the finest wools and Scottish Cashmere. Each piece is made by a small team of creative and skilled knitters in Scotland under the direction of Sheila Greenwell. Teaching and development of skills and education are at the heart of the company. They produce their own line, work to commission as well as sell beginners' knitting kits.

Di Gilpin has over thirty years experience working in the knitting industry. This has allowed her to develop yarns and published books with Rowan, collaborated with international fashion labels, designed luxury knitwear pieces for hundreds of industry clients and travel the world searching for materials and inspiration. From the very beginning, she has been dedicated to preserving and developing fibres and skills, and to pushing the boundaries of knitwear design through craft. The converted bothy studio is Fife is next to her home. In 2012, Di received the Balvenie Masters of Craft Award in Textiles and Balvenie Artisan of the Year, 2005.
