At The Makers Society we will train and support you to become a proficient woodworker and realize any project you have in mind. We can guide you from the design phase and assist you in the construction of your product. We currently offer several woodworking courses for different levels: 1. Introductory Course to Woodworking: ideal for beginners 2. Intermediate Course to Woodworking 3.Hand Tools Sharpening Course: This course is the foundation for those who want to develop their woodworking skills with the use of hand tools 4. Introduction to Hand Tools 5.Dovetail Joints: Dovetails are synonym of excellence in woodworking. 6.Hand Joinery Level 1 and 2: these two courses explore the fundamental joinery techniques with the use of hand tools. 7.Kumiko Course: Kumiko is an ancient Japanese woodworking technique At The Makers Society we also have a 6 week woodworking program for kids. Following the Sloyd concept and as a practical integration to the STEM program in schools, we help children to boost their creativity and increase their level of self-confidence.
Eva and Luca Dal Molin are the hearts behind The Makers Society. After dedicating over 30 years to aviation, Luca followed his heart into the world of woodworking. He honed his skills at the renowned Chippendale International School of Furniture in Scotland. Back in Dubai, together, the duo tirelessly crafted their dream: a vibrant hub for woodworking enthusiasts to teach the art of woodworking and empowering members to make their dream project. But The Makers Society is more than just a space for crafting; it is also Dubai's go-to spot for high quality woodworking tools from established brands like Narex, K-Met, Luban, and Kakuri. But Eva and Luca envision a bigger dream; as the city nurtures its artistic spirit, The Makers Society aspires to become a recognized training center to nurture talents that will bridge the existing gap between local demand and skilled makers, ensuring top-tier services from design conceptualization to post-sale support.
