Dubai Culture & Arts Authority enables and develops the cultural and creative sectors in the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It is committed to enriching the cultural scene of the emirate, which is firmly rooted in the heritage of the United Arab Emirates. It is working on building bridges of constructive dialogue between various civilizations and cultures to enhance Dubai’s position as a global centre for art and culture, an incubator for creativity, and a thriving hub for talent.

Tashkeel is a commercial consultancy with studio incubators for visual art & design rooted in the United Arab Emirates. Its services include advisory, sales, design and production services and special projects for a wide range of clients as well as; Training for the education, cultural, public and private sectors; Printing & Cutting services of laser-cutting, fine art/photography & risograph printing; and Retail, selling UAE-made art and design products instore and online as well as across a nationwide network of partners. Tashkeel’s incubator initiatives include the Tanween development programme for UAE-based designers; Critical Practice Programme for visual artists; Residencies for artists and
designers at Tashkeel or abroad; Exhibitions & Fairs; and Make Works UAE.

Mansi Bavishi

Make Works UAE Coordinator

Mansi Bavishi is an arts and culture programme leader and specialist in the UAE’s creative manufacturing ecosystem, with a career spanning jewellery design and manufacturing, luxury retail, creative practice and cultural programming. Based in Dubai, she leads Make Works UAE at Tashkeel, a Dubai Culture-funded initiative connecting artists and designers with the country’s manufacturers, fabricators and suppliers.

Over the course of her career, Mansi has developed a distinctive understanding of the journey from creative concept to production, combining hands-on manufacturing knowledge with an in-depth understanding of the UAE’s creative and production landscape. Through Make Works UAE, she has built a verified network of 145+ manufacturers, fabricators and suppliers across 40+ industries, creating connections that help creatives navigate local production and bring ideas to life.

She is also a practising cyanotype and Lippan artist and contributes to the UAE creative community as a mentor, speaker, panellist and jury member.
