Made Works: Tom Pigeon x V&A Dundee

Tom Pigeon design simple pieces that bring a sense of enjoyment to their owners, it was a pleasure to catch up with Kirsty Thomas to discuss her collaboration with the V&A Dundee.

Tom Pigeon have collaborated with clients including The Barbican, Tate Modern, The Design Museum, V&A, Team GB and Made as well as creating the Tom Pigeon collection, which include prints, homewares, jewellery, sculpture, paintings and stationery.

Kirsty also created The Make Bank. It provides Art and Design Kits for disadvantaged pupils who want to pursue creative education and a creative career. They also work with industry professionals to share inspiring stories, creative journeys and career advice. Visit our video for the full story.

Back in 2018 we were asked by V&A Dundee to create a series of videos to celebrate their collaborations with Scottish makers and designers for their gift shop. We wanted to really tell the story behind their inspiration and the work that they created. Over the course of a year we spent time with each designer to learn about how they work. For the project we teamed up with Paved With Gold, and photographer Garry Maclennan.
