TechShop Abu Dhabi is an open-access DIY workshop and fabrication studio. It is a community-based space where creative individuals can access high quality equipment, prototyping services, and design software.

Members are allowed to use TechShop machines and access the facility. Annual, monthly, and day pass memberships are available. Members are required to pass the 'Safety and Basic Use' class before working on any machine. Full machine specifications are available on the TechShop website. There is an age restriction on certain machines, members will have to check minors policy. There is a material shop available on site.

TechShop was founded in the US in 2006 by Jim Newton, one of Forbes Magazine’s “Eight People Inventing the Future” as the first membership-based workshop and fabrication studio. TechShop Abu Dhabi is the first branch in the Middle East and was established in partnership with the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). TechShop is a leading facility that supports the maker movement internationally.
