History

ENGLISH: Chisco and Luis used to work together at flea markets, selling other types of products. They started a blog in 2012, where they shared their passion for denim, and collected inspirational images of style, travel and music. Years passed and both Luis and Chisco move abroad — Luis to Ireland, then in Australia and Chisco to London. During Chisco’s travels he collected patches and decals and added them to his favorite denim jacket. The idea for SAN FCO Denim Culture was born with this first jacket. Sometime in 2016, a friend asked him, Could you make me a jacket like that? By 2018, Chisco and Luis returned to Barcelona and started the brand customizing with paint and patches. Thanks to a collaboration with Plata del Palo, a store in Barcelona, they started to get large orders. Since they have been working with this company, other small brands, and developing their own products. For 3 and a half years their workshop and store were located in Sant Adrian but they moved to La Clandestina / Oasis Creativo BCN to find a space that they could share with a community of other makers and artists. In La Clandestina/ Oasis Creativo BCN they share stories, ideas, and support with the community of creatives. In addition, the connection with other makers opens up new opportunities for events, flea markets, contacts and collaborations. The duo says, “We have grown by being in a collaborative space.”
