Company History

Gordon Ellis & Co is very proud to be a family business, still operated by the Ellis family to this day. When W.R. Ellis established the company over 150 years ago, sending products “by carrier” really did mean having them carried by horse. The world may have moved on since then, but the principles of quality and craftsmanship established in Gordon Ellis & Co's wood shop still continues today. Gordon Ellis & Co started making wooden window frames for buildings, but now they make a wide variety of products and components to meet client needs. They have a strong ethos in working innovatively to meet and exceed client expectations. This has meant hard work and investment in new equipment and techniques to allow them to push the boundaries of this industry. Gordon Ellis & Co are ISO accredited and are members of trade organisations such as: - British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM) - British Plastics Federation (BPF) - British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) - British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM).
