uMake's members include artists, designers and craftspeople who need more space or specific tools for one-off projects
, students who want to work at times that suit them and 
DIY enthusiasts who lack space at home. You can make almost anything you like at uMake and members have undertaken a variety of projects including making jewellery workbenches, building collapsible exhibition shelves and 3D printing a replacement bracket for a motorcycle windshield
. They stock a variety of hard and softwood and plywood as well as fittings and finishes and can source many other materials for you.
 Full membership is £50 per month, but they also have special 'taster' offers - just get in touch or drop in to the workshop and have a chat.

Established in 2014 uMake is one of the only open access workshops in Birmingham. They provide space, tools and materials for woodwork, 3D printing, DIY and all sorts of tinkering for a modest membership fee.
