History

Peacock Visual Arts was set up in the summer of 1974. It was first know as Peacock Printmakers and was set up by a group of artists keen to share, learn and develop printmaking in an open access workshop environment. Ian Fleming became Founding Chairman and Head of the board of management when he retired from his position as head of printmaking at Gray's School of Art. Through his practise and teaching the organisation has continued to grow.
