Production details
Designing, pattern cutting, fitting, grading, teaching, styling, all elements of garment manufacture. Often this is bespoke vintage inspired garments for individual clients. She also does manufacture/finishing work for other designers such as hemming silk scarves, and does freelance costume work for clients such as the Brunton Theatre. Typical clients are textile designers, artists, individual clients, independent boutiques, photographers, stylists, bloggers. A fully equipped studio with pattern cutting table is also available (with space for 4 participants if holding classes), with relevant equipment/machinery for designing and manufacturing garments. Emily also enjoys collaborating with local textile designers. In addition to this Emily runs workshops including Hawaiian shirt masterclass, silk blouse masterclass, frilly knickers workshop and A-line skirt workshop. No previous knowledge is required. As Emily works by herself most of the time bear in mind it can be fairly labour intensive and so she can't necessarily complete large orders quickly (depending on what they are of course).
