Last year saw Make Work's first Maker Speed Dater take place at WEST Brewery in Glasgow bringing together 20 manufacturers and 20 designers to have a drink and get speedy networking. You can read more about the event here on Core77. Everyone had a great time and importantly, made new contacts and started new projects.

Phil from PR Print:

"I found the Maker speed Dater an innovate format and felt a real benefit from meeting both the designers and the other manufacturers in the room. I have gone to many networking events over the years with mixed success but this really was interesting and I would definitely go back."

Last month also saw Dundee's first ever Maker Speed Dater in partnership with Creative Dundee.

If you're based in or around Glasgow and would like to find local metal workers, laser cutters, sackmakers, shellac suppliers, framers, mills, seamstresses, letterpress, water jet cutters, risograph printers, electronics, mould makers and slipcasters to name a few, get yourself a ticket!
