History

ENGLISH: The industrial building, previously used as a warehouse for wholesale items and the textile industry, has been converted into a co-working space. The shelving and furniture that was left behind has been used to create divisions between the studio spaces. Currently, the space is home to Gabriela Lotaif Bodily Garment Artist, Domingos Cocina and S-biotica, a collective that works at the intersection of biology and design. These designers and makers founded the Paraguay Project in 2020, in order to bolster the sense of creative community that the space inspires. The shared space welcomes interdisciplinary creation. Today the makers work with food transformation, bio-materials, myco-materials, and costume design. Other makers, designers, and artists can rent work spaces for creative work or to host classes and workshops depending on availability.
