History

J.C. Rennie are family run woollen mill established in 1798, started at what was essentially a cottage industry before the advent of the industrial revolution. The mill was once powered by a water wheel that remains in situ to this day; and the company has become famous for the production of woollen yarn for knitwear and weaving.
